What launched as a home decor pop-up concept shop in October 2020, became a full fledged brick and mortar shop in February 2021. Yes, we opened during a pandemic and no, we're not completely insane (well, maybe just a little).

The shop, located on NW 23rd Avenue in Portland, Oregon, is helmed by Catrina Gregory, a native Oregonian with a dogeared passport, a background in interior design, and a passion for supporting mission-driven makers and artists.

We offer carefully curated home decor, accessories and gifts that embody a warm + soulful simplicity, rooted in a sense of place: wabi sabi meets hygge, wrapped in the colors and textures of the Pacific Northwest.

We're drawn to organic lines (or "smiling lines" as Kay Bojesen said) and well-designed objects that echo nature and bring calm, meaning, grace - and even belonging - to beautiful spaces.

For us, it's all about elevated slow decor. Beautiful accessories and gifts, mindfully made by human hands from honest materials -- brass, wood, clay, alpaca, etc. -- that age gracefully, and become more meaningful over time, perhaps even worthy of being passed down from generation to generation.

DUST + FORM IS AN EXPLORATION OF TEMPORARY BRILLIANCE.

TOGETHER WITH NATURAL MATERIALS, WE SEEK TO EMBODY THE MYSTERY OF THE COMMON MOMENT. OUR WORK DRAWS ON THE WISDOM OF NATURE AND OUR SHARED HUMAN ESSENCE TO REASSURE US OF OUR CONNECTED PLACE HERE.

Brielle Macbeth Rovito established her studio practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota before transitioning to Vermont in 2017. With intuition and a refined visual voice, she and her small team use raw materials to create elegant forms that act as invitations to savor the present moment. She revels in the cycle between process and refinement, thereby seeking to encapsulate the duality of life.

Dust + Form is a ceramic design and production studio situated between Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains in Burlington, Vermont, USA.

We have a deep commitment to our craft. All pieces are made by hand and shipped with care from our studio.
